Everyone is welcome! Whether you're a runner, a walker, or just looking for a fun day with family and friends, we'd love to have you join us. Invite your friends, neighbors, coworkers, and family to join this incredible community event benefiting local children.
🕶️ Theme: Back to the 80s!
Break out your neon, windbreakers, scrunchies, leg warmers, and your biggest 80s hair! We'll even have awards for the best 80s attire.

Please carpool if possible. A $2 park entry fee applies per person unless you have a Charleston County Parks Pass.

• 8:00–8:45 a.m. – Registration & Packet Pick-Up
• 9:00 a.m. – USATF Certified 5K begins
• Family Fun Walk starts immediately following the 5K
Please note: There will be no race-day registration after 8:45 a.m.

Experience one of the Lowcountry's most beautiful courses featuring grass, paved paths, boardwalks, sand, dirt trails, roots, and more. Fast-paced walkers are welcome!
Family Fun Walk
A relaxed, untimed walk through the scenic park—perfect for all ages and fitness levels.

Liability Waiver: Upon acceptance of my entry, I, for myself, my heirs and assigns, hereby release Carolina Children’s Charity, Palmetto Islands County Park, Charleston County Parks and Recreations and any and all sponsors and officials of the Carolina Children’s Charity 5K Partial Trail Run / Family Fun Walk event from any and all liability arising from illness, injury, or death I may suffer as a result of participation in this event. I attest that I am physically fit and have sufficiently trained for this event, and I am aware that my participation could, in some circumstances, result in physical injury. Should officials determine that completion of this event would be injurious to my health, I consent to be removed and treated by the medical personnel in attendance at their direction. I give permission for free use of my name and picture in any broadcast, telecast, or written account of these events. I also understand that the entry fee is NONREFUNDABLE FOR ANY REASON, and the run/walk will take place rain or shine. Pets, cycles, and headphones are not allowed on the course for insurance reasons. Children under 10 years old MUST be accompanied by an adult at ALL times!
