The Latina Women's League is honored to launch this year's 21st Gainesville Latino Film Festival with a special screening of "La Frontera", a powerful feature by director David David, who joins us in person from Colombia.
La Frontera ( The Border) explores the emotional and physical borders we navigate—identity, migration, resilience—with poetry, grit, and compassion. Don’t miss this chance to experience the film and meet the director for a post-screening conversation.
Doors open at 5:30. Presentation starts 6:00p.m
Free and open to the public with registration.

After the screening, stay for a director Q&A, an amazing chance to hear directly from David David about the filmmaking process, the cultural context, and the stories behind the story.
Come celebrate Latinx cinema, global perspectives, and community storytelling with fellow film lovers, students, and faculty from across disciplines.
Help us spread the word!
