After 16 years of silence, Valdiviezo reunites with her family in Peru, confronting haunting childhood memories, her youth in war-torn Peru, and a troubled past as an undocumented immigrant in the United States. Through the lens of gender and immigration, the documentary offers intimate access to Valdiviezo and her vibrant photo-paintings of her family, weaving a powerful narrative about family bonds, identity, belonging, and the transformative power of art.
