Get ready to watch art come to life at the 20th Annual Artists Paint OC Festival! From August 13-17, 2025, Ocean City transforms into a colorful canvas as 50 incredible plein air artists compete for over $8,000 in prizes.
Stroll along the Boardwalk, venture to Assateague, or explore the charm of Berlin — you never know where you might spot an artist capturing the beauty of our area!
Want to take home a piece of the magic? Don’t miss the artwork on sale at the Ocean City Center for the Arts on Saturday, Aug. 16 from 5-7 PM and Sunday, Aug. 17 from 1-4 PM. Bonus: The best of the best will be on display through September!

Registration for this event is currently full - join our waitlist!
Registration is open to 50 artists, aged 18 and older, on a first-come basis. The fee is $50 for Art League members and $65 for non-members. Plus, all registered artists can participate in the Sunday Boardwalk Quick Paint, sponsored by the Ocean City Development Corp.

Sun. August 17th
Downtown Ocean City
$25 Members, $30 Non-Members
Paint against the clock in downtown Ocean City for your chance at $650 total prizes sponsored by the Ocean City Development Corporation!
8-8:30 am – Artists check-in in front of Thrasher’s Fries on the boardwalk and get paper/canvas stamped. Onsite registration available.
9-11 am – Artists paint against the clock in the downtown area – from beach to bay and inlet to N. Division St.
11 am – Cease painting and return to the OC Center for the Arts to set up artwork for judging and sale.
12:30 pm – Judging of artwork.
1pm – 3 pm – Off-the-easel art sale, with live music and mimosa cash bar
NOTE: Artists registered for the full Plein Air event are automatically signed up for the Quick Paint and do not need to sign up separately.
