2026 York County 4-H Canning Workshop

Join us for a fun and interactive Canning Workshop where youth will get hands-on experience preserving fresh produce! Participants will learn the basics of canning, including safety tips, techniques, and the science behind food preservation.

Workshop open to youth ages 9 - 18.

In this workshop, attendees will:

• Can pickles and strawberries using tried-and-true methods.
• Gain valuable skills to enjoy fresh, home-preserved foods year-round.
• Take home their own delicious creations to share with family and friends.

Membership requirement: Current 4-H membership is not required for particiaption in this event, but you must preregister.

Custodial Care: Please note that this event and its coordinators do not assume custodial care of youth in attendance. Adults (parents, guardians, volunteers, coaches, teachers, or other chaperones) must be present for the supervision of youth participants.
