2026 West Virginia Brownfields & Main Street Conference

The 2026 WV Brownfields & Main Street Conference will include sessions covering all aspects of brownfield and downtown redevelopment, including interactive workshops, networking receptions, and the WV Brownfield Awards! This year's event celebrates 20 years since the WV Brownfields Assistance Centers were founded.

This premier redevelopment event attracts over 300 stakeholders, including economic development professionals, environmental professionals, real estate developers, lawyers, state and local officials, EPA and other federal officials, entrepreneurs, planners, bankers, investors, and community redevelopment professionals.

We are pleased to announce that the call for sessions is open! If you have an idea, submit it today. Selected speakers will be offered a discount on conference registration.

Ideal sessions should be dynamic and diverse with a broad appeal to brownfield and downtown participants with special interest in sessions that may qualify for continuing education credits for environmental professionals, certified planners, and economic development professionals. Specific topics include planning and reuse of historic buildings, tourism and recreation, renewable energy, environmental justice, financing and fundraising, and other trending topics in redevelopment.

Session proposals are due by March 27 at 11:59 PM (EST). Submitters will be notified in April, and the agenda will be updated shortly afterwards. See last year's agenda for an idea of what to generally expect.
