WV LRS Training Thursday Sept. 10, 2026

The West Virginia Chapter of the Air & Waste Management Association (AWMA) and West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection (WVDEP) are pleased to announce a one day LRS Training Workshop will be held Thursday, Sept 10 at the Marshall Health Network Arena and Convention Center, Huntington, West Virginia in which LRS’s can obtain 5.5 professional development hours (PDH) needed to meet LRS renewal requirements. As in years past, we offer this at the same time and location as the West Virginia Brownfields Conference.
The 2026 West Virginia Brownfields Conference will kick-off with a Reception on Tuesday evening, go all day Wednesday and overlap with the LRS Training on Thursday. Three of the conference sessions (State and Federal Updates, Emerging Technology in Assessment and Reuse Planning, and Ongoing Monitoring and Maintenance after Opening) can provide additional PDHs of 1.25 each.
Register for the mobile workshop “Downtown Huntington Redevelopment Tour - LRS" offered later on Thursday and get 3.0 additional PDH. See link below to register. Cost is $40.
Separate registration is required for the mobile workshop and Conference at 2026 West Virginia Brownfields & Main Street Conference Tickets. Enter the code LRSTOUR to add the mobile workshop when registering.
The LRS Training Workshop fee includes breakfast and lunch during the training event.

Check-in and registration starts at 7:30 AM. Program starts at 8:00 AM with a short AWMA Chapter meeting.
