Hoag Orthopedics is proud to present our annual HOI Spine Symposium. Join your clinical colleagues at the beautiful Balboa Bay Resort in Newport Beach, California. Experts in the field of spine will present on a variety of topics related to spinal surgery, non-operative care, and discussions ranging from surgery in the ambulatory surgery center to finance.

Orthopaedic Education and Research Institute of Southern California DBA Hoag Orthopedics is a 501c3 non-profit founded by Hoag Orthopedic Institute physicians. The nonprofit exists to foster education, research, and community outreach in orthopedic care.

The mission of Hoag Orthopedics is to support meaningful research and education in health care with an emphasis in orthopedics, in order to improve the quality of health care provided within our community.

OBJECTIVES:

1. Explain key concepts in counseling patients on pain management procedures versus surgery.

2. Plan frameworks that enhance quality outcomes when in a bundle care model.

3. Appraise key findings from the use of AI-Powered prior authorization tools.

4. Explain short and long-term outcomes associated with minimally invasive and traditional spinal decompression.

5. Use knowledge of research to identify problems in open access journals.

6. Evaluate the use of technology in quality and financial outcomes.

ACCREDITATION

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the California Medical Association (CMA) through the joint providership of Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian and Orthopaedic Education and Research Institute of Southern California. The Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian is accredited by the CMA to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Credit Designation: Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian designates this live educational activity for a maximum of 5.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.
