Bay City Department of Public Safety to Host National Night Out August 4
The Bay City Department of Public Safety invites the community to attend the Annual National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wenonah Park in Downtown Bay City.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign designed to strengthen police-community partnerships and foster neighborhood camaraderie. The event provides an opportunity for residents, law enforcement, and community organizations to come together in a positive and engaging environment while promoting safety and community connections.
Millions of people participate in National Night Out events across all 50 states, U.S. territories, and military bases worldwide each year. Communities celebrate with block parties, festivals, cookouts, safety demonstrations, youth activities, and opportunities to meet local public safety personnel.
This year's Bay City event will feature nearly 100 participating vendors, including local businesses, nonprofit organizations, and community service agencies. Attendees can enjoy games and prizes for both children and adults, live music, food, and interactive displays.
Public safety vehicles and equipment will be on display, including fire trucks, ambulances, police vehicles, and other municipal vehicles. Guests can also enjoy the popular Best Dish Contest, where local restaurants compete for community bragging rights.
National Night Out is free and open to the public. Food and prizes have been generously donated by area businesses. Parking is available throughout Downtown Bay City.
