Mirian will guide you through a short, dynamic drum solo packed with sass, and fun. In this workshop, you’ll learn essential techniques, and expressive movements while building confidence in your shimmies and accents. By the end of the session, you’ll take home a complete choreography that you can continue practising and performing long after the workshop ends.
Mirian Caberlon has dedicated over 20 years to studying, teaching, and performing oriental and folk dance, beginning her journey in Brazil at age eight. After training and drawing inspiration from Egypt, India, and renowned international teachers, she moved to New Zealand in 2014 and founded her own dance school in Wellington. As the director, principal teacher, and choreographer of Dandarah, Mirian is known for inspiring others through her creativity, cultural knowledge, professionalism, and charismatic performances.
