2026 Midterm Elections: Risks and Responses

The State Democracy Research Initiative and the Elections Research Center at UW-Madison invite you to join us for “2026 Midterm Elections: Risks and Responses” on Friday, October 9, 2026, from 12:00 - 1:15 pm Central Time. This event is part of our 2026 Election Matters series, sponsored by Stafford Rosenbaum LLP. The event will take place in Room 2260 of the University of Wisconsin Law School (975 Bascom Mall, Madison, WI 53706). This panel is approved for 1.5 WI CLE credits.
This panel will explore potential threats to the midterm elections, including issues that could arise before the election, on election day, and in the aftermath. It will also address possible responses to these threats. Panelists will include David Becker (The Center for Election Innovation & Research), Karen Brinson Bell (Advance Elections), Josh Chafetz (Georgetown University), and Christine Sun (States United Democracy Center).
