2026 JOHN SMEDLEY SHIELD - NSR v Slot.it CHALLENGE

Hi everyone
The last team event of the 2025 W.A.R. racing year is the highly anticipated 14th running of the 2026 John Smedley Shield.
Named after the much missed late founder of the FPR racing group, which morphed into the W.A.R. racing group, the JS Shield is a team battle between NSR and Slot.it cars over two classes.
The winning team will have its named engraved on the JS Shield along with all the previous great winning teams.
Please note that only one "gold" driver is allowed per team.
8 x 10 minute heats for Classic Racing Cars on the Lincoln Park track
8 x 10 minute heats for Modern Racing Cars on the Lincoln Park track
$30 entry fee per team
Each driver must drive for 4 heats in each class, although it can be in any order.
The final total of laps for each team will be the number of laps completed in both classes added together.
The winning team will receive 200 points towards the 2026 W.a.r. Driver Championship (100 points to each driver in the team)
Attached are the class rules and race program.

10AM - 3.45PM PRACTICE & SCRUTINEERING FOR BOTH CLASSES
3.45PM SCRUTINEERING FOR BOTH CLASSES ENDS
4PM – 6PM RACING FOR THE CLASSIC RACING CARS CLASS
6PM – 8PM RACING FOR THE MODERN RACING CARS CLASS
The following practice sessions have also been scheduled for the JS Shield:
Wednesday 16 September 2PM - 9PM
Thursday 17 September 12 Noon - 9PM
Friday 18 September 12 Noon - 9PM
There is a $15 entry fee for each driver attending the practice sessions, but that one fee gains you entry to ALL the practice sessions.
It should be a great night of team racing to celebrate and honour our late friend.
