Highlights in Medicine 2026 is a weekend dedicated to bringing College of Medicine alumni back to campus, reuniting with classmates, and honoring the shared journey that brought you to this point. Whether you’re marking a milestone reunion or coming home for the first time in years, this is your chance to come together with the colleagues and friends who have shaped your medical career.
Organized by the USask College of Medicine, Highlights in Medicine is more than a gathering — it’s a celebration of the people who shape the legacy of medicine in Saskatchewan and beyond.
FRIDAY, JUNE 19 — Day One
5:00 pm onward Class-Specific Reunion Gatherings
Independent gatherings organized by volunteer class representatives for members of each graduating class. Details will be shared directly by class leads.
7:00–10:30 pm Scrubs Off: After Hours Social
A relaxed, no-program evening for alumni and guests without a class-specific event — an opportunity to unwind, connect, and enjoy a casual night out.
SATURDAY, JUNE 20 — Day Two
7:45 am - 12noon Professional Development Sessions
Continuing education has long been a cornerstone of Highlights in Medicine for the past 40 years. Professional development sessions will be offered through the College’s Division of Continuing Medical Education. ***Separate registration is required.
1:00–2:30 pm Lunch with the Dean
A moderated conversation with College leadership focused on the College’s direction, priorities, and the role alumni play in advancing its mission.
2:45–3:45 pm Research in Action: Behind-the-Scenes Experience
A guided visit offering insight into innovative medical research underway within the College, with a focus on real-world impact and future directions. Specific research focus to be confirmed.
6:00–10:00 pm Highlights Banquet
A formal closing celebration bringing alumni, guests, and the College community together for an evening of connection, reflection, and celebration.
