The AltarNatives are a “spin-off” of the contemporary choir at St. Joseph’s Cathedral in Bardstown—hence the play-on-words name. The group blends genres in an acoustic style, with harmony-forward arrangements that reflect its wide-ranging influences. Their set lists draw from everything from 1940s standards and classic rock of the ’60s and ’70s to ’90s folk, today’s alt-country, and AltarNative’s original songs.
