About this Event
This is a FREE, fun and engaging event for older adults 55+ focused on the importance of active aging. The day has been thoughtfully designed by Capri Communities—Wisconsin’s experts in senior living. At Capri, our tagline is enjoy life. It is something we strive to do with our residents every day, so we wanted to share this philosophy with our greater community.
At the Enjoy Life Symposium, the day is yours to create. Featured speakers, exhibitors, interactive activities, education breakout sessions, raffles, senior clubs and organizations, food, music and much more will be on hand for you to explore and enjoy.
Our Main Stage, sponsored by Network Health, will feature gardening expert Melinda Myers, who will present on low-maintenance gardening to boost your landscape's beauty; a high-energy senior fashion trends show produced by professional stylist Rho Nelson and House of Color's Lisa Pretto; and a delicious and informative cooking demonstration by Chef Michael Feker.
New in 2026—FREE coffee throughout the day, compliments of Morrison Living! Soft drinks and bottled water, along with $5 boxed lunches from Cousins Subs and $7 chicken Caesar salads from Skyline Catering, will be available for purchase thanks to underwriting from our friends at Ascension Wisconsin Hospital. You are also welcome to bring in your own food to enjoy throughout the day.
We have many fun surprises planned for the 2026 Enjoy Life Active Aging Symposium and hope that you will join us and share this event with your friends. The more the merrier!

Doors and Exhibitor Booths Open
Info: Event doors will open promptly at 8:30am, not earlier. If you don't want to wait outside, we encourage you to arrive on or after 8:30am. Exhibitor booths will also open at 8:30am and will remain open throughout the event. Exhibitors will be located on both the lower and middle levels. Elevators are available on both sides of the event floor and will be marked with signage.

Elmbrook Humane Society
Info: Our friends at the Elmbrook Humane Society will be on hand throughout the day, highlighting the benefits of pet adoption and the import role that pets play in the lives of older adults. Come visit the Cuddle Corner, meet some of their adoptable pets and participate in making enrichment items for EBHS pets. Learn valuable information about volunteer opportunities and pet adoption.

Info: Subject matter experts, in five distinct rooms, will present 45-minute educational breakout sessions throughout the day on topics relevant to older adults. Sessions will begin on the hour and many will be repeated to provide multiple opportunities to participate. Consult your program for timing and locations. Topics include bone density, brain health, long term care and coverage, protecting yourself from identity theft and scams, Medicare 101, tips to maintaining overall health, all about supplement and probiotics, safe banking in the digital age and Green Bay Packers history.

Info: Three cheers for Milwaukee’s favorite leopard-wearing 50+ dance group, Golden Girls MKE! They will be making their first appearance on the Enjoy Life stage, showing us their dance moves and inspiring everyone to get involved, try new things and dance, dance, dance!

Morning Yoga
Info: Get your morning off to a great start with a 30-minute chair yoga session led by our friends at Orange Shoe Fitness. We’re offering two back-to-back 30-minute sessions outdoors, focused on deep stretching and explaining techniques that you can safely do at home to improve balance and flexibility. Space is limited, so be sure to arrive early.

Low-Maintenance Gardening by Melinda Myers
Info: Join Wisconsin's Gardening Expert, Melinda Myers, who will share tips and educational information on low maintenance gardening to boost your landscape's beauty. Melinda will cover strategies to help you reduce maintenance while keeping your landscape looking great, highlighting low-maintenance plants to add and those to avoid when trying to reduce ongoing maintenance. Then she'll move on to design and ways to create a big impact while reducing care. This, combined with a few key maintenance techniques, can help save you time while boosting your garden enjoyment. Following Melinda's session, she will be available for a book signing and meet and greet outside in the atrium lobby. Her best-selling book, Midwest Gardeners Handbook 2nd edition, will also be available for purchase.

Info: The Ukuladies are fun-loving musicians from around the Milwaukee and Southeast Wisconsin area who enjoy playing and singing together. While most play ukuleles of various sizes, they also play banjolele, mandolin, accordion and the occasional flute.

Our professional fashion stylist, Rho Nelson, will review styles, fabrics and brands for men and women that are ideal for older adults. Joining Rho will be Lisa Pretto from the House of Color, who will share the importance of understanding how to wear colors that bring out the best in each person. From jewelry to shoes, handbags to accessories—this show is one you won’t want to miss!

Milwaukee Bucks Grand Dancers Performance
Info: The Bucks Grand Dancers love to get their groove on! As a world-famous 55+ dance group performing at home games for our Milwaukee Bucks, the Bucks Grand Dancers embody what it means to enjoy life and actively age. The Grand Dancers are always looking for new members wanting to have fun and entertain the masses! If you’d like to learn more about how to become a Bucks Grand Dancer or see them perform one of their routines, join us at noon at the Activity Theater Stage.

You won't want to miss this informative and delicious session, as Chef Feker has some fun surprises in store for attendees! Following the session on the Main Stage, attendees will be treated to samples of the dish Chef Feker creates on stage upon exiting the auditorium.
