Day 1 Saturday

10.00 Session 1 Introduction

Session 2 Recap of the Green Economics Institute Mission and Purpose and Aims. Its new structures and resources and activities today. How we need a sustainable green economy and social and environmental and economic justice and peace around the world. We need inclusion, access and an end to poverty. We need a just and green transition. We need to collaborate and share in a gendered intersectional inclusive world for everyone to flourish.

Session 3 Retrospective of themes and speakers for each year from 2003- 2012. Our achievements and activities- publications and students.

Lunch Break

Session 4 Retrospective of themes and speakers for each year from 2012- 2022. Our achievements and activities- publications and students.

Session 5 Session 3 Retrospective of themes and speakers for overall from 2003- 2022. Our achievements and activities- publications and students.

Session 6 and 7 Introduction to Scientific and academic sessions and other thematic presentations and master classes

Call for papers sessions -Instructions will be given below.

Session 8 -Break out starting to think about planning and content for our next 20 years and our 20th anniversary celebrations for 2023.

Session 5 Our climate change and united nations work over 10 years.

Session 6 planning for our COP 27 delegations in Sharm el Sheikh in Egypt in November 2022.

Session 7 How to get involved in our activities:

- Gathering teams to join to work preparing our 20th anniversary celebrations in 2023

- Gathering teams together to work on preparing our summer schools in 2023.

- Our academic journal -presentations plans and invitations to join.

Sessions 8 Speeches and presentations of awards.

Session 9 -Break out for planning for our next 20 years and our 20th anniversary celebrations for 2023.

Conclusion and communal dinner

This two day conference to be be held at Mansfield College, University of Oxford

16th Annual Green Economics Institute Conference at the University of Oxford, to be held in person for the first time since 2019.

We are calling for papers for our Double Blind Peer Reviewed Academic Journal -The International Journal of Green Economics- a trail blazing journal now in its 16th year.

We are also calling for papers for the academic proceedings of the 16th Annual Conference which we will publish at the conference- please apply to discuss papers- we will post more information here shortly with instructions for authors.

We are also calling for papers to form chapters for our GEI Books -and also for whole books to be launched at the conference and afterwards. If you would like to participate- we have over 100 titles in print -which you can view at our books publishing website:www.geibooks.org.uk

We also encourage powerpoint presentations at the conference and for upload to our websites. visit our main websites www.greeneconomicsinstitute.org.uk

We also have a lively vimeo account and we can interview participants for that -please advise if you would like to take part during the conference or before or afterwards.

We are always looking for more people to join our research teams -please email us if you would like to take part.

We run very lively education programmes having had 1000s of students go through programmes as varied as field trips, professors seeking professional enhancement, Nobel prize winners seeking certification and much more besides- please contact us or visit our website -www.greeeneconomicsinstituteeducation.org for more details.

We are also always keen to have more volunteers -please contact us if you would like to help with the conference or our other activities throughout the year.

. After a 2 year absence we meet again in person.

The event will feature a call for papers, speakers and books and book chapters reflecting on all matters of social, environmental and economic justice as well as the new environment of international relations and IT and tech.

It will include health, peace, privacy, and personal pyschology and mental health. Food farming and finance and much more besides.

The conference will prepare for our COP27 delegation and present the latest climate finance and science status as well as the latest biodiversity issues to coincide with the United Nations Biodiversity conferences and IPBES in which we have delegations.

The conference also features our work for the United Nations on intersectionality issues and access and inclusion and our on going long term work on gender.
