Get ready for another unforgettable weekend of music, learning, and fellowship at the 2026 Earl Experience Banjo Camp—Pickin’ Where It All Began!
This year’s camp features an expanded schedule, more sessions, an extra half day of programming, and directed jamming – all set against the backdrop of Earl Scruggs’ home region in beautiful Shelby, NC.
We’re thrilled to announce that world-class banjo instructors Bill Evans and Tony Trischka will be leading this year’s camp, with additional instructors and presenters to be announced.
What’s New for 2026:
An Extra Half Day! The camp now kicks off Thursday, March 5, giving you more time to pick, learn, and connect.
Welcome Dinner with Instructors. You are invited to a welcome dinner on Thursday evening — connect with fellow attendees and instructors.
More Instructional Sessions. With workshop sessions running concurrently in two spaces, campers can explore even more topics and instruction.
Exclusive Guided Tours. Campers will enjoy guided tours of both the Earl Scruggs Center and Earl Scruggs’ Homeplace, offering a deeper connection to the man and the music that started it all.
Directed Jamming. Build confidence in a collaborative setting by taking part in guided jam sessions led by experienced instructors.
