Please join us for FREE at the 2026 Cedar Rapids Walk for Apraxia!
The 2026 Cedar Rapids Walk for Apraxia will be taking place this year at Cherry Hill Park. We are so excited to be able to come together as a community and share in a collective celebration of your Apraxia Stars. There will be lots more information to come, so continue to check your local Walk website for updated details! We will make every effort to make sure the event experience is safe, fun, and memorable for your whole team of supporters!
Don’t forget - Registration is FREE so there has never been a better time to grow your Walk team! Every registered individual will have the opportunity to work toward earning individual fundraising incentive prizes, including this year’s Walk t-shirt! Every registered Walker that raises $50 will earn their 2026 Walk for Apraxia official t-shirt to wear proudly! All registered Apraxia Stars will receive a free shirt and medal to celebrate all of their hard work.

Why do we Walk?
The money raised through the Walk for Apraxia supports the programs of Apraxia Kids. Our mission is to strengthen the support systems in the lives of children with apraxia of speech by educating professionals and families; facilitating community engagement and outreach; and investing in the future through advocacy and research. We would not be able to achieve our mission without the funds raised through the Walk for Apraxia.

The Walk brings together parents, family members, and professionals to fundraise for Apraxia Kids and connect with one another. The Walk is about giving our Apraxia Stars and their families a space to be understood and supported. At the Walk for Apraxia, everyone “gets it”.
Celebrate your Apraxia Star!
The Walk for Apraxia celebrates the lives and achievements of our kids, our “Apraxia Stars”, who work tirelessly every day to overcome childhood apraxia of speech. Every Apraxia Star attending the Walk for Apraxia is recognized individually for their hard work and receives a free t-shirt, medal, and certificate! At the Walk for Apraxia, we celebrate together with our Apraxia Stars so they can feel the love and support of their friends, families, and community wherever they are.
Raise awareness of childhood apraxia of speech!
The Walk for Apraxia is the largest apraxia awareness event in the country! By joining the Walk for Apraxia and inviting others to support, you play an essential role in making sure every child with apraxia of speech can find the support they need. Every time you share about childhood apraxia of speech with someone new, you are creating a future where more children can find the care they need because apraxia is understood, not unknown.
