2026 Brain Freezer 5K

Lace up your running shoes and grab your spoons, the Brain Freezer 5K is back again!!
If you are new to the race, the rules are simple: Challengers run half a 5k, stop to down a full pint of Island Homemade Ice Cream, then finish out the race! Are you up for the challenge? (fun runners do not have to finish a pint)
The race starts and ends at North Beach Park in Burlington, VT. The race route follows the bike path along the shores of beautiful Lake Champlain. Racers will stop and eat pints at Water Works Park by the Fishing Pier and then head back to the finish at North Beach.
Prizes will be given out for best time, best costume and best team costumes, so have fun with it!
Register by July 31st to get the best price!

All of the proceeds from the race go to People Helping People Global, a Vermont-based international development organization that provides interest-free microloans to people living on less than $2 a day.
