Join us for a tour of the City of Napa's nationally recognized Recycling and Composting Facility! Come learn about what happens to the items you place in your compost and recycling carts after they're picked up by the Napa Recycling collection trucks.
- Tour the Recycling operation: Learn about our newest use of technology like optical sorters and robots that help us capture more recycling materials
- Hear about The CASP Composting Process: Learn how food scraps turn into a beneficial soil amendment called compost in our covered aerated static pile system
- Kid-Friendly Tours: A shorter version of a regular tour - geared for kids and big fans of Napa Recycling collection trucks
- Touch-a-Truck
- Watch a live Truck Demo while you wait
- Tours leave every 20 minutes starting at 9:20 am until 12:20 pm
- Must reserve your ticket time on Eventbrite
We will have booths with community organizations, fun educational games, snacks, and a compost giveaway. Please bring your own bucket to take home organic compost made from local food scraps and yard trimmings.
*Pro-Tip: Bring your refillable water bottle to stay cool and hydrated throughout the event.
Please note: Tours could be canceled in the event of heavy rain without notice. Tour attendees must wear closed-toe, thick sole shoes (no sandals, flats, or heels).
