2026 ASHRAE Society President Meeting

Bill McQuade, P.E., CDP, LEED AP, is ASHRAE’s President for the 2025–26 term.

He has held numerous leadership roles within ASHRAE, including president-elect, treasurer, vice president, and director-at-large, and has chaired major councils and committees across the organization.

With over 32 years of experience in HVAC&R, McQuade is currently vice president of government affairs and global sustainability at Baltimore Aircoil Company (BAC), where he leads regulatory engagement and global ESG strategy.

His presidential theme, “Healthy Buildings: Designing for Life,” emphasizes balancing energy efficiency with indoor environmental quality to improve occupant health and sustainability.

McQuade has also contributed to national and international initiatives, including work with U.S. government agencies on refrigerants and energy policy. An ASHRAE Fellow and 2023 Exceptional Service Award recipient, he holds 22 patents related to HVAC technologies and earned graduate degrees in mechanical engineering and business from Penn State.
