A celebration of Washington State's Arbor Day and the City of Yakima's Official Arbor Day Celebration.This next year, we're celebrating Washington State's Arbor Day with our 25th annual ArborFest, embracing the theme "From Seed to Sapling" and 25 years of ArborFest". For the theme, we are asking groups what does a quarter century of work and growth look like? What does the last 25 years look like? How about the next 25 years?
Join us in celebrating the beauty of nature and the vital role trees play in our lives. Let's come together to make ArborFest 2026 a thriving success!
Families can expect lots of free learning opportunities, crafts, and displays showcasing the effects of forest fires. Plus, families will have an opportunity to take home their own tree to plant in their yard in honor of Arbor Day.
Please be kind to the earth by bringing your own reusable bag to carry home all of your crafts, handouts, and other items you will collect at the festival.
Stations sponsored by a variety of community organizations, will be on hand to share in the experience of this year's theme. The Arbor Festival strives to make environmental science fun for everyone to learn!
