About this Event
The Great 100 of North Carolina is a non-profit organization that annually recognizes 100 Registered Nurses from all areas of nursing practice for their contributions to patient care and the nursing profession. The Great 100 also awards scholarships annually to deserving students in their final semesters of nursing education, from Associate to Master’s Degree programs.
Each year, the Great 100 Award and Scholarship recipients are recognized at a black-tie Gala. This year, the Gala will be held on Saturday, September 26,2026. There will be opportunities to support the Great 100 through Alumni Sales, silent auctions, and donations. Dinner, the award ceremony and dancing will complete this special evening. Please come support your Great 100 nurses!
THE NC GREAT 100 ALUMNI ARE REQUESTING YOUR ASSISTANCE. WE PROVIDE A SILENT AUCTION EACH YEAR TO HELP US FUND OUR NURSING SCHOLARSHIPS. THIS IS ALWAYS A FUN ADDITION TO THE GALA. WE ENCOURAGE ALL ORGANIZATIONS, ALUMNI OR OTHERS TO CREATE AND DONATE AN AUCTION BASKET TO SELL. IN YEARS PAST, BASKETS HAVE BEEN BASED ON THEMES SUCH AS THE BEACH, HOLIDAYS, KITCHEN, CAMPING, SELF -CARE, LOTTERY TICKETS, AND BOOKS. THE BEST WAY TO FILL YOUR BASKET IS TO THINK OF ITEMS YOU WOULD BE WILLING TO BID ON AND BUY. WE REQUEST THAT YOU ALSO INCLUDE THE COST OF YOUR ITEMS BECAUSE WE HAVE TO ITEMIZE THIS FOR TAX PURPOSES.

Please read these FAQs, as they will provide you with additional details about the Gala and enhance your experience.
How do I register for the Gala?
Each of the recipient types (Great100 recepitents and Scholorship recepitents) below should register for themselves and one FREE guest per recipient. All other guests of the recipients should pay the registration fee and register as a Guest. Please note that each table will have 10 seats per table. If you have more than 10 total attendees, we will make every effort to place you at tables adjacent to each other.
Select the correct category by scrolling through the options. There are two (2) categories of Recipients:
1) Great 100 Award Recipient: these are Registered Nurses from all areas of nursing practice and education, who are receiving 2026 Great 100 recognition at the Gala for their contributions to patient care, education and the nursing profession. This ticket is for the Great 100 awardee only.
2) Scholarship Recipient: these are students of various nursing programs who are receiving scholarships from the Great 100. This ticket is for the scholarship awardee only.
3). Early bird Guest: Persons attending as supporters of Great 100 Award and Scholarship recipients/alumni should register as a Guest. Early bird tickets are 85.00 plus fees and taxes, regardless of age. These tickets are available for purchase from 7/14 until 8/18.
4). Regular Guest: This category is for the guest and will be on sale from 8/19 until 9/18 at $110.00 per person.
5). Board/Guest: This category is only for Great 100 Board members/guests.
6). PROMO Tickets: Organizations that have made donations to the Great 100 to support scholarships have been given PROMO codes for a limited number of complimentary tickets. The codes and instructions for use are provided to the organization's leadership representative by the Fundraising Chairperson. If you register for this ticket without the code, it will require full payment for the ticket.
Registration for the Gala is ONLY through the Eventbrite website. We do not sell tickets at the door.
Registration CLOSES on September 16th at 11:30PM in order to assign seating and provide final meal numbers to the venue. This is a plated meal event and we do not order extra meals.
Do I need my printed ticket to check into the Gala?
The Eventbrite system sends your ticket(s) to your email address when registration is completed. You do not need to bring any paper tickets to the Gala. We will have the Master list of registrants and will check-in guests electronically.
What time does the Gala begin?
The Gala begins registration at 4:30 PM with Alumni Sales and Silent Auction. Please come see friends and colleagues, enjoy a beverage from the cash bar and peruse the Silent Auction and Great 100 merchandise. Please noted that seating is limited until the doors open for dinner at 5:45.
Dinner is served at 6 PM. Following speakers and award/scholarship presentations, join us on the dance floor to celebrate our 2026 Great 100! Don't forget to tell us the music you want to hear.
Where is the parking?
There is complimentary parking at the convention center/hotel and surrounding areas for guest and attendees.
How do I check into the Gala?
Attendee check-in will begin at 4:30 PM
All attendees: Registration booths by alphabetic order will be located in the convention center lobby. Upon check-in, Great 100 Award and Scholarship Recipients will receive a small packet with their ribbons and presentation line-up numbers. Once checked in, please enjoy a cocktail at the cash bars, browse the Alumni Sales and participate in the Silent Auction. There are many excellent sites within the Gala area for informal photographs and hashtags will be posted for social media postings. Dinner is served at 6:00 PM, followed by our speaker, the award and scholarship presentations and dancing to close the evening.
May I bring my children?
The Great 100 Gala does not restrict attendees by age. We would remind attendees that it is a long evening and smaller children may become bored. All guests, including children, require registration for tickets to the Gala.

Each individual is responsible for making their own reservations. Guests are responsible for all charges. The board will keep up to date on the number of rooms booked so that we can determine if we need to add additional rooms.

What is the refund policy for tickets?
Refunds are subject to board approval prior to the event. Please note that if multiple tickets are purchased on the same credit card, we will not be able to credit your card for single ticket refunds but will refund the money after the Gala. We cannot authorize refunds after the final meal counts are given to the venue two weeks prior to the event. We cannot refund unused tickets.
