Experience a one-of-a-kind global music collaboration as Ethno USA returns to Greensboro for its 6th edition, culminating in two special performances at the Carolina Theatre as part of the North Carolina Folk Festival & Carolina Theatre Presents Series.
More than a traditional concert, Ethno USA is the result of an immersive 11-day international music residency bringing together 30+ young musicians (ages 18–30) from across the globe. Through a unique peer-to-peer learning model, participants share the folk, traditional, and cultural music of their home countries—teaching, learning, and arranging music together to form a vibrant, cross-cultural “Ethnorchestra.”
These culminating performances showcase the spirit of collaboration, cultural exchange, and artistic exploration that define the Ethno experience. Audiences can expect an evening of dynamic, genre-spanning music that blends global traditions into something entirely new—celebrating the power of music to connect people across borders.
Presented in partnership with the North Carolina Folk Festival, these performances offer a rare opportunity to witness international musicians creating and performing together in real time, rooted in respect, openness, and shared creativity.
