2026 Alaska Rural Health Transformation Program Convening

About this Event:

The Alaska Department of Health is pleased to announce a multi-day convening designed to equip health care and community partners with the knowledge, partnerships, and practical tools needed to support statewide planning and pursue funding through the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP).

This hybrid event will bring together health care providers, community organizations, regional leaders, and technical experts to build a shared understanding of RHTP, strengthen cross-sector collaboration, and help participants prepare to leverage transformational funding aligned with local priorities and solutions.

You will learn about the Rural Health Transformation Program, including the state’s vision, approved initiative areas, anticipated timelines, what we know to date about how funding will be rolled out, and explore how your community can participate in regional health transformation efforts. Thursday, January 15 | In-Person Kick Off

9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

This in-person meeting is for you if you want to dive deeper into the Rural Health Transformation Program. The event will include updates from state leadership on the program’s vision and implementation approach, discussion of emerging details on funding and application processes, and facilitated breakout sessions to explore how RHTP goals can be advanced across Alaska communities. Friday, January 16 | Vendor Showcase and Department of Health Office Hours

9:30 AM - 5:00 PM

The final day of the convening is dedicated to helping Alaska-based organizations connect with vendors offering practical technology, data, and service solutions. The day will include a vendor showcase hall, small-group networking to explore partnerships, and options to schedule one-on-one time to meet with the Alaska Department of Health leadership team. Location: Hilton Downtown Anchorage Hotel
