What: 2026 Indoor Mini-Disc Golf World Championship
Where: 1401 S. Henke Road, Lake St. Louis, MO 63367

We are calling this a World Championship because we believe we have invented this sport and it is therefore very likely we are the only ones who are playing it. So, if you win, you WILL be the 36+ Singles World Champion! We now have some relevant experience with Indoor Mini-Disc Golf. In addition to our event in August of 2025, a few months after that, we set up a course for the Dardenne Creek Ward youth in the Oak Valley building for one of their activities. It was very well received. We’ll have some new holes this year to test your prowess throwing these thin food storage lids/discs.
As before, we’ll set up an 18-hole course that will utilize all of the hallways, larger rooms, foyers, and the cultural hall of the stake center. We’ll be using the same lids as last year which I wrote some of the names of real disc models on, so when we play, each person will know which lid is theirs. It will also make it more fun. Some of the names include: Zeus, Demon, Spear, Ballista, Sheriff, and Emperor. The targets are five-gallon buckets with poster board as the backstops.
The winner of the Mini Disc Golf World Championship will receive a new Wizard putter disc that has my painting of The Starry Night on it. The winner will also receive the coveted plastic champion trophy stating they are the 2026 36+ Singles Mini-Disc Golf World Champion. The Runner-up will win something almost as cool, yet to be determined, and also receive one of these amazing trophies
We'll start with dinner at 6 pm in the YW room which the 36+ Singles program will provide. After dinner we’ll have a brief instruction period to make sure everyone knows how to throw the lids accurately, then divide up in teams of three or four and have a shotgun start. Each group will have a scorekeeper so the winner and second place can be determined. We'll also have a CTP (closest to pin) contest where everyone will throw their disc and the person whose disc ends up closest to the target will win a prize. This will be fun!
