About this Event

The Laurens County 4-H Horse Club is a welcoming space where youth who love horses can build friendships, gain confidence, and develop practical horsemanship knowledge in a fun, supportive environment. Discover the exciting world of horses through hands-on activities, demonstrations, and educational projects. While this is a non-riding club, members will gain valuable horse knowledge and practical skills that apply at the barn and beyond.

This club is designed for youth of all experience levels—from those who are simply interested in horses to those who already own or ride them. Each month features a different equine topic, such as horse behavior, safety, grooming, nutrition, health, breeds, tack and equipment, showmanship, judging, and equine careers. Meetings include hands-on learning activities, demonstrations, guest speakers from the equine community, farm visits, and service projects that help members build confidence and knowledge around horses.

Through 4-H, members develop confidence, responsibility, leadership, teamwork, and real-world life skills while making new friends who share a passion for horses.
