PERFORMANCE, FINALS, AND AWARDS
Time Limit: 15-20 minutes including set-up.
Scores: There are no ties. An odd number of adjudicators will select first, second, and third place. Selections are based on daytime performance scores.
Awards: All groups are invited to come all day and stay for awards.
Outstanding Soloist Award: Certificates for Most Outstanding Vocalist and Most Outstanding Instrumentalist will be awarded. These musicians can be selected from the daytime or evening performances. The Most Outstanding Soloist and Most Outstanding Instrumentalist will receive a 2 year Talent Grant to attend CCC. Jr. High Students are not eligible for college talent grants until they enter high school.
The Spirit Award: The Spirit Award will be given to the group that demonstrates the most positive attitude while here on campus and displays an earnest willingness to learn. To be considered, your group performs with a contagious and positive spirit, is attentive and open to adjudicator feedback, and listens intently to as many groups as we can allow. We consider this award to be the highest honor of our festival. We also invite our Spirit Award winners to be part of next year’s CCC Mainstream Choir performance.
