2025 Black Family Wellness Expo

Join us for a Community Health & Wellness Expo – a vibrant, inclusive gathering focused on promoting healthy living and well-being for all! The Roanoke (VA) Chapter of The Links, in partnership with over 25 community health providers, warmly invites members of our community to participate in this enriching event.

The Expo brings together a wide range of community health and mental health resources, screening services, kid-friendly activities, FREE instructional soul line dancing, tax preparation services, financial empowerment and so much more provided by trusted community health organizations and local businesses. Our mission is to create a supportive environment that empowers attendees to prioritize their health, gain access to valuable resources, and connect with wellness professionals available right here in the region.

Join a fun-filled soul line dance session with Tracy Saunders of "Fitness Fun with Tracy" from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Tracy will instruct the featured line dance - “Boots on the Ground” and other popular line dances. Participants are encouraged to bring your largest “Clack Fan” and wear your favorite shades of green. All ages are welcome, so bring your daughters and sons! Tracy will provide instructions for beginners so that all participants feel comfortable. Please wear proper shoes – comfortable fit with good stability.

Benefits of Line Dancing:
- Strengthens heart and lung functions
- Strengthens muscles and bones, reducing the risk of osteoporosis
- Improves posture, coordination, agility and flexibility
- Stimulates the brain
- Increases energy
- Burns calories and helps with weight loss
- It’s fun!
