2025 Area Corn & Soybean Production Updates

This meeting will be held in the auditiorium at 9 AM and end at noon with a meal. Scheduled speakers include Dr. Chad Poole, NCSU Bio & Ag Engineering to discuss water management and varietal response to dry, optimal and wet soils; Dr. Ron Heiniger, NCSU Crop & Soil Science Dept., will present information for agronomic corn production considerations; Dr. Jeff Chandler, NC Soybean Producers Association will present soybean research data and industry trends for soybean use; Daniel Simpson, NC Extension Director, Pamlico County, will present information on corn nitrogen management and Utrisha trials; Mike Carroll, NC Extension Area Agent, Craven & Carteret Counties, will present information on sesame trials in Craven County; and, Jacob Morgan, NC Extension Director, Jones County, will present agronomic and pest management updates for soybean production.

NCDA & CS pesticide credits will apply based upon NCDA & CS course approval. Certified Crop Advisor credits available upon request. Animal Waste Applicator credits for 2 hours will apply
