2025 1st Graphic Novel Event @ Waterstones Brighton

Are you a storyteller working in words and pictures but have no idea how to find a publisher? Then the 2025 First Graphic Novel Award could be for you! Come and meet former award judges, finalists and entrants to find out more about how you can make the most of this unique opportunity.

The 2025 Graphic Novel Award is open for entries until 22nd April to anyone aged 18+ who has not published a full-length graphic novel. The Award gives feedback to all entrants, and offers the winner a publishing contract with indie favourite SelfMadeHero and a £500 cash prize from The bks Agency.
Join two former Award judges – graphic novelist and award finalist Ian Williams and media journalist Alex Fitch – and two selected entrants – Myfanwy Tristram and Kelly Vassie – as they present their comics and discuss why entering the Award is such a boost, wherever you are on your creative journey.
