Abstract:
This workshop provides a practical introduction to contributing to open-source software security. Participants will acquire essential skills in identifying and reporting vulnerabilities within open-source projects. Through hands-on exercises, attendees will learn to utilize static analysis tools and techniques for effective vulnerability detection. This workshop aims to empower individuals to enhance the security posture of widely used open-source software proactively.
Bio:
Kate Kligman is a software engineer with experience at McKesson, Grove Collaborative, Pantheon and Visa. She has also worked as an open-source contributor with contributions in security and research.
