Having a baby is a special experience. New parents, even experienced ones, will find our prenatal class can ease apprehension and concern.About this Event
VTHH Prenatal Classes
Our prenatal class helps prepare parents-to-be for pregnancy, labor, delivery, and new born care. Participants will be provided a workbook which follows the class structure and a valuable resource for them to carry home. The participant is encouraged to bring one support person.
Class topics include:
- Labor signs
- Position for labor & pushing
- Pain management & coping
- Pregnancy daily activities
- Postpartum care (mother & baby)
- Breastfeeding
- Newborn medications, care, feeding & screenings
- Pelvic floor rehabilitation
- Tour of the VTHH Women's Center
The 2-hour class and workbook are Free but registration is required and can be made here or by calling 931-393-7938.
Class location is in the Private Dining Room (PDR) on the Ground Floor of the hospital. Enter through the Main Entrance (which is located at the rear of the hospital); the PDR is located to the left down the hallway.
