Discover the inspiring legacy of freedom seekers and thriving Black communities on this enriching 2-day journey through Southwestern Ontario’s Black history
Start with a visit to the Josiah Henson Museum of African-Canadian History (previously known as Uncle Tom's Cabin), where the remarkable story of Reverend Josiah Henson and the Dawn Settlement comes to life. Explore historic sites like the Amherstburg Freedom Museum, the Buxton National Historic Site and the Chatham-Kent Black Historical Society, where courage, resilience, and innovation are celebrated through powerful exhibits, historic buildings, and rare artifacts that connect past struggles with modern triumphs.
Our overnight hotel will be the fabulous Caesars Windsor Resort & Casino in Windsor, Ontario. Also included in this tour package is a "soul food" lunch at one of the venues and a $10 breakfast voucher to use at the cafe at Caesars Windsor.
