2-Day Mental Health First Aid Certification Training - Nov 2 & 3, 2026
About this Event
Please note this training is a 2-day (12-hour) course, taking place on November 2 AND 3, 2026, from 9:45am-4:45pm ET. Lunch will be from 12-12:30pm and will be provided both days.
Description:
Whether it’s a coworker, employee, customer, client, family member, friend, or a neighbour experiencing a mental health challenge or crisis, Mental Health First Aiders use their skills to provide practical help. The sooner a problem is identified, and appropriate supports are provided, the sooner and more likely they are to recover, preventing their mental health from worsening.
Join us for the 2-Day Mental Health First Aid Certification through Opening Minds and the Mental Health Commission of Canada. Lunch and refreshments are provided both days. Please note tickets can't be refunded but can be transferred to someone else.
This is a formal certification training. To receive certification, participants must be fully present both days of the training (absent no longer than 30 minutes outside of scheduled break time either day). Participants will have the option to complete a 10-15 minute quiz online within 7 days after the training to receive their formal certificate.
The training is in support of Our Kids Count and will be facilitated by Krystina Hunter of K. Hunter Workplace Consulting.
If you have any questions, please contact Krystina Hunter at [email protected] or text or call 807-629-6387.
