History of Mayan Cacao:
The use of cacao dates back over 3,000 years to the ancient Mesoamerican civilizations, particularly the Maya and Aztecs, who revered cacao as a divine plant. The Maya prepared cacao as a ceremonial drink, often mixed with spices such as chili, vanilla, and honey. They referred to it as "Ka’kau’" and used it in sacred rituals to honor the gods, connect with the spirit world, and cultivate inner wisdom.
