1st National Wild Frames Organized by Dhaka Collegiate School Environment and Nature Study Club
The 1st National Wild Frames is a national-level photography event aimed at inspiring young photographers to capture the wonders of nature and wildlife. With multiple categories and unique segments, the event provides participants an opportunity to showcase their talent and promote environmental awareness.
This event is proudly organized in collaboration with the Dhaka Collegiate School Club Alliance.
The event will officially start on 1st February, and the submission deadline is set for 20th February.
Event Categories
Participants will compete in three categories:
1. Secondary (Class 6 to 10)
2. Higher Secondary (Class 11 to 12)
3. University
Event Segments
Nature Through Your Lens (General Nature Photography):
Encourages participants to capture the scenic beauty of nature, including landscapes, plants, and natural scenes.
Guidelines:
- Photos must feature natural scenes like forests, rivers, or mountains.
- Only minimal editing is allowed to maintain authenticity.
Judging Criteria:
- Composition and creativity
- Relevance to the theme
- Visual impact
Wings of the Wild (Bird Photography):
Highlights the beauty of wild birds in their natural habitats.
Guidelines:
- Only wild birds and domestic birds are allowed; caged birds are not.
- Using zoom or telephoto lenses is recommended for safety.
Judging Criteria:
- Clarity and detail
- Natural behavior capture
- Aesthetic appeal
Marine Moments (Ocean-Related Photography):
Focuses on the beauty of marine environments, including marine wildlife and coastal scenes.
Guidelines:
- Photos can feature seascapes, marine wildlife, or underwater scenes taken ethically and safely.
Judging Criteria:
- Innovation and uniqueness
- Visual impact
- Technical excellence
Wildlife Through Your Lens (Signature Segment):
The signature segment focuses on capturing wild animals in their natural habitats.
Guidelines:
- Only wild creatures (animals, insects, reptiles) are allowed; photos of zoo animals or pets are not.
- Ethical photography is essential.
Judging Criteria:
- Authenticity and ethical representation
- Moment capture and storytelling
- Technical quality
Submission Requirements
Participants can submit up to three photos per segment.
Photos must be in JPEG format with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.
A short description (max 100 words) must accompany each photo.
Photos must bear the participant’s name and code (provided after registration).
General Rules
All photos must be original and taken by the participant.
Basic editing is allowed, but heavy manipulation will lead to disqualification.
Institutional ID cards must be presented for verification during registration.
Any form of plagiarism will result in immediate disqualification.
Photos must be submitted via Google Drive (link will be shared soon).
Awards and Recognition
Certificates and crests for winners in each segment.
Special mementos for signature segment winners.
Featured publication in the Wild Frames event magazine.
The best overall photo will win the “Wild Frames Champion Award.”
The top 10 photos will be displayed for voting, and the photographers will be invited to attend.
