Science Segment Details
SCIENCE-BASED PROJECT DISPLAY COMPETITION:
There will be two groups in this competition.
- Secondary (Class 6-10)
- Senior (Class 11-12)
This will be a competition including groups of 2/3 members of the same institution. Each of the teams will make a project and will submit it on the given time and date. Judgement silent.
Registration fee is per team 300/- BDT.
Only 20 team slots are available for projects.
Theme: Open, but Science-based subjects are appreciated.
Day of submission :
Projects have to be submitted on the 1st day of the fest (11th May 2024) and will be shown in the exhibition from the 2nd day(12th May 2024). Participants have to come to the college to submit their projects.
Submission Time: 8th May from 3 pm-5 pm
Exhibition Time: 10th May from 9 am-5 pm
and 11th May from 9 am-3 pm
WALL MAGAZINE EXHIBITION:
It is OPEN for ALL
This will be a competition including groups of 2/3 members of the same institution. Each of the teams will make a wall magazine and will submit it on the given time and date. Judgement silent. There is no class barrier in this segment.
Registration fee is per team 250/- BDT.
Theme: Open, but Science-based subjects are appreciated.
Rules:
1. Size: Maximum 6 feet X 4 feet
2. Base: The base should be made of a cork sheet.

1.1 Each team must have a minimum of five (5) players that are eligible to play for each match. Failure to provide the minimum number of players could result in walkover.
2. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀
2.1 The group stages, quarter and semi-finals will consist of a "Best of 1" with no elimination bracket. Only the final will be decided with a "Best of 3" matchup.
2.2 The captain of each team must check in for their match 15 minutes before their scheduled match time. Failure to do so could result in losing “in-game pause time” or disqualification.
2.3 Any team that checks in on time but fails to join the lobby more than 15 minutes after the scheduled start time, will be disqualified.

Both teams keep vetoing until one map remains. There will be a coin toss between the IGLs to decide which team will veto first.

Both teams veto 1 map each
Both teams pick 1 map each
The last map is the decider
The opposite team gets to choose which side they want to start on on their opponent's map pick. For the decider map, there will be a coin toss and the winner of the coin toss will get to choose which side they'll prefer to play first.
3.4 𝑴𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏/𝑴𝒊𝒔𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒇𝒊𝒈𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏:
Games or sets are not to be replayed due to a misinterpretation of the rules OR misconfiguration of game settings. Game settings should be configured according to section 3.1 and 3.2. It is the player's responsibility to ask the To for any clarification of the rule set in the event of a disagreement. The outcome of a game or set will not be chagned after the fact, unless under extreme circumstances. Judgement is reserved for tournament staff.
4. 𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒚𝒆𝒓 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒕:
4.1 Any team member who breaks Riot’s code of conduct, which prohibits the use of sexism, racism, hate speech, targeted harassment, or any other behaviour of discrimination, will be immediately disqualified from the tournament.
4.2 Any team member who is displaying excessive toxic behaviour during matches may also be disqualified at the discretion of a tournament administrator.
4.3 To report a player for breaking this conduct, please send a screenshot of the offending behaviour to a tournament administrator.
5. 𝑬𝒒𝒖𝒊𝒑𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔:
Organizers will provide keyboard & mouse. Players can bring their own equipments if they want to.

If any unforeseen situations occur, judgment by tournament staff is final. Rules may be altered between phases of a tournament in the best interests of the event. (Example: A game-breaking glitch is discovered on a map mid-tournament that could be exploited. The map may need to be removed from legal play for the remainder of the event.)

▪ Artworks that include sculptures, statues, paintings and other works of art will be accepted as long as they don't embody copyright contravention or fraud.
▪ The artworks (Traditional art, Digital Art) must be the sole work of the participant. By participating, the participant confirms that the photograph does not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity and that no other party has any right, title and claim in the piece.
▪ If hgac finds out that the photo and artwork given by the participants belongs to someone else then he/she will be banned from the fest.

■ Film (open for all)
• Short film contest:
In this event you have to submit your short film before the event, and it will be shown on the venue. The prize for the short film will be given to the director and assistant director.
✓ Submission Criteria
• The Short Film must have been completed on or before 6th May 2024, to be in the Competition.
• The festival will have Competitions among STUDENTS and the category will be OPEN.
• The Participants should be 16 years of age or above as of 1st April 2024.
• Only the Director or Assistant Director of the Short Film can send the entry to the fest.
• Entries MUST be playable on common media players. Festival Management will not be responsible if a film is not screened due to a problem with the DVD format. Common formats such as MP4, MOV and AVI files are recommended.
• On Public demand we have decided to extend our time limit by more than 10 minutes There is no minimum running time.
• The film can be Documentary, Experimental, Narrative, Fiction, Non-Fiction or Animation. (open)
• The short film can be in Bengali/English language.
• Films once selected and submitted for final screening will not be allowed to be withdrawn under any circumstances until the festival is over.
For offline submissions in person:
• The film can be in Pen drive or in DVD in MP4 / MOV / AVI formats.
• Both Preview file should be Labeled in this sequence ONLY:
Film Title/ Language/ Duration/ Director’s Name, Mobile Number, E-Mail ID.
✓ Legal Implications:
• Short Films that are submitted must be the Entrants’ Original Work and shall not infringe on any Copyrights or any other rights of any third parties.
• By entering the festival, the entrant agrees that the authority will not be held liable for any copyright infringements perpetrated by you or your short film.
• Contestants agree that they have obtained all required permissions regarding music, sound and / or images presented in your short film.
• 17th HGPC Photography, Art and Short film Contest 2024 reserves the right to not screen any film(s) for any reason it deems valid at any given point of time after submission to the Festival Office.
• Entrants will retain all ownership rights to their films submitted.
• IF THE FILM INCLUDES ANY OBSCENE, PROVOCATIVE, DEFAMATORY, VIOLENCE OR SEXUAL SUBJECT, OBJECTIONABLE, INAPPROPRIATE CONTENT THEN THE FILM WILL BE BANNED AND ANY FILM FROM THE PARTCIPANT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTABLE IN THIS EVENT.

✓ Registration fee:
The fee for film registration is 250 Tk (for max two films). If you submit more than two, then you might pay 100tk more for per film.

✓ Submission PROCESS:
1. Upload your films in your Google Drive and send the link to- [email protected]
with your Film Title/ Language/ Duration/ Director’s Name/ Asst. Director(if)/ Synopsis/ Mobile Number/ E-Mail ID. Films submitted through Google Drive must NOT be deleted from the drive until the festival is over.
2. After the submission deadline is over, we will post the selected films according to the film criteria given above.
3. Then the selected films must clear their payments via bKash within 6th May. The number and amount are given above. After the payment, post your transaction ID in the discussion with your film name and director for confirmation.
4. After clearing the payment issue, we will post the final competing film list on.

⊱ Details:
▪️ It will be a live event so the participants must be present at the college campus.
▪️ It’s an "open for all" contest. Contestants from any class or institution are eligible to participate.
▪️ We will give you a topic according to which the participants will prepare.
▪️ The participants will create the art using either pencil/color pencil/ink pen/dot pen etc. tools. (Participants have to bring their own equipment. They will only be given the papers.)
▪️ Only on-spot registration is available. The registration fee is 150 BDT.

✤ Digital Art Contest ✤
⊱ Details:
▪️ It is a submission-based event.
▪️ You can submit your digital artwork(s) via email and if it is selected after a rigorous screening then we will exhibit it in our college premises.
▪There's no definite topic for your art piece so be as creative as you want!
▪️It’s open for all contest. Contestants from any class or institution are eligible to participate.
▪The participants will make the artwork prior to the event using any painting software. (E.g. Photoshop, Procreate, ibispaint, etc.)
▪The original jpg/png/jpeg file will be uploaded.
⊱ Submission Procedure:
• Each participant can submit up to 3 photos.
