17th Century Dutch Floral Painting

Join us in learning to paint spring floral studies in the manner of the Dutch masters of the 17th Century. Participants will focus on painting individual flowers in order to understand and paint their beautiful and complex forms. The studies will be painted on a lightly-toned panel with a plain background so as to allow a complete focus on the flower itself, paying attention to accurate drawing, form, color, and detail. Materials List available upon registration. Participants may join us in-person in the studio (11 spaces) as well as on Zoom. All lectures and demos are recorded for participants unlimited use; however, because of the unpredictable resolution found in Zoom, they should not be exclusively relied upon for instruction.
