17th Annual Clean Yer Creek

Let's come together again for the 17th Annual Clean Yer Creek event!

We will comb five (5) creeks for abandon trash, illegal dumping, and debris. All volunteers will be rewarded with a post clean up party where we will enjoy a complimentary beer or beverage and discounted food.

Schedule of Events:

9:30 -10:00 AM: Registration at Your Chosen Creek - t-shirt pick up, team assignments, coffee & snacks, announcements

10:00 AM -1:00 PM: Creek Clean Ups

1:00 PM - 3:00 PM: After parties NEW - THREE (3) LOCATIONS

This event is rain or shine. Please dress appropriately and wear rain gear and rain boots if necessary. We will have some plastic gloves, but if you have your own gloves or waders, please bring them. Additionally, to help us reduce waste from the event, please also bring your own water bottle. We recommend children volunteering to be aged 10 or over as we will be working on uneven terrain and in some cases steep declines and rushing water. *Inclement weather makeup date will be Sunday, May 5th *

About Clean Yer Creek:

Over a decade and a half ago, Loll Designs started planting trees around the Duluth, Minnesota area with a focus to create and enhance a healthy planet, along with inspiring people to appreciate the local Duluth outdoors. After the Duluth flood of 2012, it was clear, the creeks and the watersheds of Lake Superior needed attention. Loll Designs and other local patrons came together in clearing the creeks of debris and runoff. Thus, the expansion of tree planting and creek cleanups combo came to fruition.

Every year Loll Designs, Chester Bowl Improvement Club, Wild State Cider, Lake Superior Brewing, and Bent Paddle Brewing team up, with other local patrons, to conduct its annual creek clean up. Volunteers from around the area convene on Keene, Miller, Chester, Merritt, and Lester/Amity Creeks, to help physically remove trash and debris out of our waterways. Over the years thousands of volunteers have helped, thousands of trees have been planted, and tons of trash have been collected in efforts to keep our beloved Lake Superior blue and magnify the beautification of our city.
