Blossman Humanitarian Award. This prestigious event celebrates Karen's incredible contributions to our community and her unwavering dedication to making a difference.
About Karen Sock:
Karen Sock is the President and CEO of Sock Enterprises, Inc., where she offers a wide array of professional services including strategic planning, leadership and staff development, team building, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion training. Karen’s career as a hospitality and gaming executive at Harrah’s Entertainment, Inc., Grand Casinos Inc., and Caesars Entertainment Inc. is marked by historic achievements, including her distinction as the nation’s first African American female to lead the operations of a full-service casino.
A dynamic and transformational leader, Karen is passionate about mentoring and has inspired countless individuals to achieve their personal and professional goals. She is also the co-founder of Pathways2Possibilities:P2P, an interactive career exploration experience that has impacted over 124,000 students across Mississippi, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
Karen’s dedication to our community is further evidenced by her involvement with various organizations, including her role as Board Chair of the National Diabetes and Obesity Research Institute at Tradition, and her creation of the CEO Talent Show, a fundraiser for the United Way of South Mississippi.
Karen’s journey is one of resilience and inspiration, having faced and overcome personal health challenges with grace and determination. Her mantra, “Keep Going, Keep Growing, Keep Living, Keep Giving,” continues to motivate all who know her.
