Location: Hillview Elementary School (1927 Horns Hill Rd NE, Newark, OH 43055)
Cost to tryout: $10 per participant (The USAV requires each participant to purchase a $10 membership, providing secondary accident insurance for all sanctioned OVR tryouts this season. The “membership card” can be saved to your phone for convenient confirmation at tryouts.)
Cost to play: Approximately $600 per player. (A team with less than 10 players would need to pay more, and a team with less than 10 would pay less.)
Coaches will notify participants offered positions for the team within 24 hours of the tryout. Participants offered positions have until Wednesday, 9PM on Oct 30th to accept the offer.
The “14 American” division contains some of the Ohio Valley Region’s best competitors and it is recommended only for those with experience playing competitive volleyball.
OVR “14 and under” definition: “Teams with players born on or after July 1, 2010”. Anyone born before the date above is ineligible to play for this team. *Unless that person is in the 8th grade and was born no more than one (1) year before the cut-off date.

Participants should wear clothing that is comfortable but also appropriate for playing volleyball and should refrain from wearing fake nails, watches, or any jewelry that can be removed. Participants are required to wear volleyball appropriate shoes and regulation kneepads.

Our teams already have 6 regular season tournaments scheduled with average drive times under 1 hour, and have signed agreements for 2-hour practices, twice per week from January through championships in April.
