13th Annual Come Home Kortne Swatty Float

This is the 14th year that Kortne Stouffer has been missing. She vanished from her home on July 29th, 2012 after a night out with "friends" never to be seen or heard from again. Family, friends, and community gather every year for this event in hopes of keeping Kortne's story in the public eye and also to celebrate the beautiful life she did live for the short 21 years we had with her. We ask ANYONE who supports finding out what happened to Kortne, even if you are a complete stranger, to grab a float or kayak and come join in on a day of remembrance, awareness, and celebration of Kortne's life.
This is a family friendly event so please be aware and respectful of who is around you. If you want to have adult fun just float away from any little kids and live your best lives. We don't want to limit any adult fun but just want everyone to be respectful of who they are around.
The float is a BYOB event. Bring your own snacks and food as well. PLEASE REMEMBER TRASH BAGS! Kortne was a big lover of nature so lets help keep the planet beautiful by not littering.
FLOAT WILL TAKE APPROX. 3-4 HRS
ADDRESSES FOR FLOAT (2 different entrances) If you want the shorter float option get in at the 2nd entrance at 1pm. You will be able to see our group floating towards you.
ENTRANCE 1: KOKOMO AVE/DOCK ST BOAT LAUNCH (Arrive @ 11am. Launching at 12pm) This is where the family of Kortne will be getting in at.
