Do you have spare hair to share? The 12th Annual C.S. Mott Children's Hospital at UMH-Sparrow Hair-a-Thon will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2026 from 9 a.m. until noon in the Herbert-Herman Cancer Center, across the street from UMH-Sparrow Hospital. This fun, free, feel-good event brings the Greater Lansing community together to provide hair donations for children. The hair goes to two Michigan-based organizations that provide free wigs to kids who are suffering the trauma of hair loss due to cancer treatment or other causes. Walk-ins are welcome, but a limited number of appointments will be available closer to the event. Visit www.uofmhealthsparrow.org/hairathon for more information.
