11th Annual Lady Renée M. White Cancer Walk

Walk in Faith. Fight with Hope. Win Together.
On the fourth Saturday of October, Grace Baptist Church walks for breast cancer awareness. We do it for one reason: early detection saves lives.
Who we walk for
Renée Marie White was a scholar, an attorney, and a pastor's wife. She grew up in Zion, Illinois, earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in political science at Howard University, took her Juris Doctorate at John Marshall Law School in Chicago, and served on the school board of Zion Elementary District 6. She married Pastor Claude White in 2003 and made her home and her ministry here at Grace. She was 46 when she went home to be with the Lord on January 1, 2022.
The women of this church were already walking before Lady Renée was ever diagnosed. Afterward our Mission Ministry gave the walk her name, and it has carried her name ever since. The City of Peoria recognized it by proclamation in 2022. We walk in her memory, and alongside every survivor who walks with us.
What the day holds
We gather at 10:00 AM and go until 3:30. Vendors, giveaways, food, and time to sit down with people. Nobody is in a hurry to leave, and that is on purpose. Bring your family. Bring your church. Wear your pink.
Registration
$35 per walker, which includes your event T-shirt and refreshments.
Early Bird, now through September 14: register two walkers together for $60 and save $10.
The price you see is the price you pay. Grace Baptist covers the ticketing fees.
