🎃 10th Annual River Walk Pumpkin Drop 🎃
DON’T TRASH YOUR PUMPKINS AFTER HALLOWEEN!
For the 10th year, the River Walk Pumpkin Drop is back! What started as a simple idea has grown into a pretty incredible community tradition, keeping thousands of pumpkins out of the landfill and giving them a second purpose.
📅 Black Friday, November 27 through December 1
📍 4231 Riverwalk Drive, Flower Mound, TX 75028
Look for the two big blue dumpsters. Drop your porch pumpkins directly into the dumpsters and leave hay bales beside them.
🐄 So where do all those pumpkins go?
Once the dumpsters are full, we deliver the pumpkins to a local farm, where they’re repurposed as food and enrichment for the animals. And because this event has grown so much over the years, other farms in our community also come to collect the overflow.
Instead of ending up in a landfill, your porch pumpkin gets a second life, and the animals think they’ve hit the fall treat jackpot. 😊
♻️ Keep them out of the landfill. Reuse. Repurpose. Feed the animals. Everybody wins.
IMPORTANT: December 1 is a hard cutoff. The dumpsters are picked up on December 2, and the collection site is private property that has been graciously made available to us for the event. Please do not leave pumpkins or hay bales after December 1.
A huge thank you to our community partners who help make this possible: Republic Services, BVF, Underdogs • Beer • Games, El Guapos Mexican Cantina, Vinifera Wine Lounge & Bistro, and Lone Star Prime Lounge & Live.
Please share the event with your friends, family, and neighbors and tell them to save those porch pumpkins.
Ten years later, we're pretty proud of how big this little Flower Mound tradition has become. 🎃🧡
