Join us for our 11th annual Plein Air Paint Out event! This year we will be painting in Thomasville, Ocklocknee and Boston Georgia. We will have 7 renowned artists joining us for the entire week. Lots of great venues to paint and opportunity to paint with and learn from our artists. Plus a 2 day art show to sell the art you create during the week!
We start out painting in Ocklocknee. You'll have a whole day to paint wildlife, farmlife and great scenery. Craig Renolds (oils) and Steven Walker (oils) will hold mini lessons on site. That evening we will have a catered welcome dinner with the Tallahassee Uke Jammers to entertain us.
Day 2, Thursday, we are in Boston Georgia painting at Glen Iris Farm, Danny's Farm and/or Downtown Boston. Alex Foltz (oil) and Chris Flagg (watercolor) will hold morning mini-lessons and Natalia Andreeva (Gouache) and Phil Sandusky (oils) in the afternoon. Then we will meet for dinner (dutch treat) at The Silo where Alex Foltz will give a free portrait painting demonstration.
Day 3, Friday, we will meet at The Covey Nest in downtown Thomasville and then dispurse to places around downtown. We have put together a list of our favorite locations. Paul Ladnier (oils) will teach our morning mini-lesson and Alex Foltz (oils) and Craig Reynolds (oils) will teach in the afternoon. Today is the day we start hanging our art for judging at The Covey Nest.
The Artist Receiption is Friday night. Winners will be announced and prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
