The Conniption Fits, in partnership with The Fireside Inn, present the Upper Valley's original Masquerade Ball, complete with prizes and trophies for best female, best male, and best couple's mask and overall outfit!
February 28th, 2026. Doors at 8pm, show 9 to Midnight.
Dress to impress. The sprit of the Masquerade Ball is to dress up in elegant mystery. Some history of the Masquerade: They were generally elaborate dances held for members of the upper classes, and were particularly popular in Venice. Masquerade balls were sometimes set as a game among the guests. The masked guests were supposedly dressed so as to be unidentifiable. This would create a type of game to see if a guest could determine each other's identities. This added a humorous effect to many masquerades and enabled a more enjoyable version of typical balls. When the city's elite members would want to go out and cut loose, a Masquerade was a great way to avoid the paparazzi!
