1-Day Beginner Sewing Workshop

If you are curious about learning how to sew, this workshop is for you! During the 3-hour workshop, students will learn the basics of working with a sewing machine, use a pattern, and create their own pajama shorts to take home with them. We will be making pajama shorts with an elastic waistband!

All tools (including sewing machines) are provided. If you'd like to bring your own fabric, please bring 1.5 yards. The pattern recommends a soft fabric such as flannel. Otherwise, the studio has some fabric you can choose from (limited selection).

Come prepared to learn and create your own project in a day!

Instructor Bio: Avery first learned to sew at 7 years old and enjoys various types of crafting such as sewing, quilting, ceramics, knitting, and 3D printing. She is currently a graduate student at Vanderbilt University and has been a Make Nashville member since 2022.
