🚨🚨‼️‼️9/7 Volunteer Event
The Meals on Wheels (MOW) program at the Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center (JCC) needs our help on Sunday, September 7, delivering boxes of shelf-stable meals to homebound seniors in Southwest Houston.
The boxes will be ready for pick-up at the JCC by 10:30 a.m. Each car/driver will deliver boxes to 7-10 households, and client names and addresses will be provided at the time of meal box pickup. Delivery will take 1-2 hours; please note that EACH MOW SIGN-UP REPRESENTS ONE DRIVER/CAR.
Signing up to volunteer is a quick two-step process:
1) Register online with AAUM for this event. Immediately following your registration, you’ll receive a confirmation email containing a SignUpGenius link to the MOW-JCC volunteer site.
2) Click on that link, and sign up with the U-M Alumni Group for the September 7th Meal Box deliveries. You’ll receive further details (exactly where to pick up boxes and client info, etc.) directly from the MOW-JCC offices.
Representatives of the U-M Club of Houston will be on hand at JCC on September 7 to thank you, and to give each volunteer an AAUM Community Service t-shirt supplies last (one shirt per volunteer, please). Go Blue!
